Ford’s given the 2017 Escape a restyling, with most of the updates happening under the skin.
Choose from three engines: the standard 2.5-liter with independent variable cam timing (iVCT), an available 1.5-liter EcoBoost® iVCT (the most fuel-efficient of the three), and an available 2.0-liter EcoBoost with responsive twin-scroll turbocharger. Both EcoBoost engines feature the emissions-friendly Auto Start-Stop, which saves fuel. All are paired with a six-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission, which allows manual control over gear selection when in Sport mode.
The Escape is smarter than ever, thanks to available technologies that can alert you to unintentional lane drifting or vehicles in your blind spot. The available hands-free, foot-operated tailgate opens with a gentle kick under the rear bumper. Sync® 3 keeps you connected with advanced communication and infotainment features.
