Must do things this Fall Season in Northern Michigan


Most can agree that fall is one of the most beautiful and magical times up here in Northern Michigan. The colors are breathtaking and the tourist season has mostly came to an end. Celebrating Community! A Fundraiser for Traverse Health Clinic


Traverse Health Clinic is about to pull off something big! With construction underway, they have plans to move into a new, larger facility later this year!

The new location, right on Garfield Road, will be nearly double their current space, and allow them to increase their patient capacity by 50%! That means they can provide primary care and mental health counseling to over 4,000 community members each year, and 17,000 patient visits!

Community support has been critical in making this happen, so we would like to celebrate with food, music and a silent auction full of exciting goodies…

Book Drive- Going on now!

 

Fox Grand Traverse is currently taking donations of your gently used children's books in our Ford showroom. They will be distributed by the Traverse Heights Book Mobile to at-risk children in low income homes. Please give the gift of reading to a child that wouldn't otherwise have the option.

We will be collecting books now until the end of August.

Jim Jeffreys to speak at Northern Michigan Ford Retiree Group Lunch


Since 1980, Northern Michigan Ford Retiree Group (NMFRG) has held informative and casual luncheons at locations in Northern Michigan.  The Group’s mission is to provide a comfortable site where retirees can socialize, have a pleasant luncheon, and be brought up to date on Company status and happenings by a current executive speaker.
 
This year’s event will be Wednesday August 3 at the Park Place Hotel in downtown Traverse City.

Westwoods Elementary School Receives 10 InStride Desk Pedals from Fox Grand Traverse

 

Westwoods Elementary School has received a grant to purchase desk pedals from Fox Grand Traverse as a new way for students to exercise and expel energy during the day. Teacher Jessica Bocian and Principal Jessie Houghton worked with City Bike Shop to get the bikes at cost and also provided free delivery and set up of the equipment. The bikes are being used in 5th grade classrooms.

2015 Fox for Tots a Success

 

An estimated 7,600 children in northwest Michigan woke up with big smiles on Christmas as a result of a successful Toys for Tots campaign.

Organizers of the Northwest Michigan Toys For Tots toy drive say they collected over 23,000 toys that were distributed through 12 different human service agencies.
