What's New on the 2022 Ford Ranger?
The 2022 Ranger gains a new package option available on XLT and Lariat models called the Splash. It offers you a feel for the 1990s, with an orange and black body side graphics, 18-inch matte-black wheels, and orange grille trim, and inside contrasting orange stitching, along with a variety of colors. What's New on the 2022 Ford Ranger?
There's a Ford Ranger truck option for everyone, as it comes in three different options as follows:
- Ford Ranger XL: this offers you quality capability as well as specialized packages, and includes access to the likes of FordPass™ Connect to utilize in-vehicle Wi-Fi and a limited range outside the cabin

Performance
With the Ford Ranger, you're going to find it uses a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine which provides 270 horsepower along with 310 pound-feet of torque, while also giving you the ability to drive in different terrain. That's because it has a system which tweaks the engine and transmission for driving modes like Normal, Grass, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Ruts and Sand. Additionally, the Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds with the right configuration, and has payload up to 1,860 pounds.
Technology & Safety
The Ranger comes in two different cabin sizes. Either the SuperCab or a SuperCrew option. Both provide space, but the roomier option is the SuperCrew which has four full size doors. Inside the 2022 Ranger, you're going to find a standard touch display option with the ability to connect to the likes of Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. There's also available Wi-Fi plans for up to 10 devices, and quality sound system choices to keep the entertainment going.
As far as safety goes, you can find plenty of driver assistance with standard forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking as well as available options which monitor your blind spots and adaptive cruise control.
